Ianna Harvey goes street

Ianna_Harvey100x100Ianna Harvey has started 2012 with a bang. Her 3 track Mixtape E.P. is available for free download, which includes the Wretch 32 and Josh Kumra "Don't Go" which is a clever mash up between Ms Harvey, Wretch and Josh giving you a brand new twist on the massive hit. It also includes Ianna's version of Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars "Mirrors" and the Black Russian Remix of Ianna's Single "Save you" which is available on iTunes.

So this hard working East Londoner from Chingford is definitely getting attention, including interest from major record labels. She has features in the bag with the likes of rising grime and rap artist, Pepstar, Ikes and Kelz which are almost ready to drop and writing sessions with some of the UK's hottest writers. She is one to watch for this year.

Ianna Harvey's parents enrolled her into the ʻKerry Jane Arts Academyʼ at the age of five as an extracurricular activity. Ianna enjoyed performing and showed a real interest in music, more specifically singing. At the age of 11 Ianna joined 'Turbelles Performing Arts School' where it became clear to everyone around that she had began to develop a genuine and rare talent. Aged 16 Ianna joined the ʻUrban Development Vocal Collectiveʼ in order to strengthen her voice, further developing and gaining experience in performing and recording. In the summer of 2010 Ianna was spotted at "iluvlive" open mic session by producers Chris Patrick and Funkiipapa. The rest as they say is history.

Ianna spent the rest of 2010 working in the studio on her solo project and performing backing vocals for the likes of Omar and Rhian Benson.

Ianna's music speaks for itself. Her first street single "Save you" Produced by Rockizm stayed in the Music Week Urban Charts for 6 weeks, peaking in the Top 10, and the Music Week Club charts for 4 weeks.

Iannaʼs inspiration comes from a wide range of singers, old and new, the list is too wide to mention but includes UK's Emeli Sande and Adele.

So expect to see more from this Business & Marketing Student who is in her 2nd Year at Kingston University.
