jaRuleSptrxAmerican rapper Ja Rule is facing a prison sentence after police found a 40 calibre pistol inside his car.

The incident which happened in March 2007 could land Ja a sentence of up to 3 ½ years in prison. This is not the first time the former Murder INC rapper has had running’s with the law in 2005 he, and label mate Irv Gotti, were investigated by police over suspicion that they were laundering money for Kenneth ‘Supreme’ Mcgriff, an infamous drug lord who controlled a large percentage of New York’s underworld drug trade during the 1980’s. The characters Nino Brown from New Jack City and Majestic from Get Rich or Die Trying are supposedly based on him.

Ja Rule has also planned to drop a comeback album, entitled Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, sometime this year. In a video blog featured on Rule York TV Ja viciously warned rappers of his return to the rap game. He said: “ I’m letting ya’ll niggas no man u got about 60 to 90 days then ima put my dick in your mouths. I’ve gotta huge chip on my shoulders” but with a court case for gun possession on 3rd March, his plans to kick start his rap career maybe destroyed.
