The 34-year-old victim was in the doorway of the property in Albert Road, in Stechford. Stechford isn’t renowned for gun crime in the area and this has come as a big shock to people in the local area.

Between three and five men were seen leaving the scene in a black BMW and another silver vehicle. They were found by police after reports from the public that attempts had been made to set them on fire.
A police spokesman said the vehicles had been seized so they could be examined by forensics experts.
Det Insp Verley Tyndale, from West Midlands Police Force CID, said: “This appears to be an isolated incident, and local officers have increased patrols in the area. We will also be talking to local residents and recovering CCTV footage in the area.”
