This Friday is one year after MJ’s death

A memorial to Michael Jackson will be unveiled at London’s Lyric Theatre on the eve of the first anniversary of the singer’s death. Micheal passed away a year ago on Friday 25th June 2010 aged 50.

According to BBC News, the theatre which is currently home to Jacko tribute show Thriller! Live will present a plaque commemorating the late Billie Jean singer at a special memorial ceremony on 24th June.

Britain’s Got Talent winner’s Diversity have also confirmed that they will play at the memorial service, along with the Thriller cast who are due to perform one of Jackson’s tracks.

But on the day when the rest of the world will be mourning the pop world mega-star, the doctor who is at the centre of the drugs overdose allegation, that is believed to have lead to Jacko’s death said he would go about his business as usual seeing patients etc.

It’s reported that Murray will not visit MJ’s mausoleum Friday, because it will cause a scene. He would prefer to pay his respects when no one is there.

On TMZ.com, it’s also reported that Jacko’s children will also NOT be attending the memorial event in L.A. The kids will be at Michael’s birthplace — Gary, Indiana — where they will observe the day with family. It’s reported that Michael’s mother, Katherine, who is guardian to the children, is set on Gary because she feels it is a “family point of connection” — and it’s just too crazy in L.A.

It is also reported that Jacko’s three children Prince, Paris and Blanket will start to attend school for the first time from September 2010 – so they can make friends.

The King of Pop’s mother, Katherine stated: “They don’t have any friends. They don’t go to school, they have private lessons at home – but that will change in September, when they are due to enrol at private college.”

She added: “To them, it’s normal, it’s the life they have known. They have a certain time to go to bed, then they get up and get dressed for lessons. They practise karate and swim . . .”
