Well its defiantly about Grime… I mean time!

Self-titled king of grime Skepta of BOY BETTER KNOW has linked up with P Diddy and the Dirty Money Crew to bridge the gap between the USA and UK’s music scene!

P Diddy admits he has always been a fan of grime since he first heard it in a taxi in London on the way to his hotel, Diddy says he was amazed at the soul, vibe and constant progression of it, from then he knew he wanted to work on a grime track!

I bet most of you are thinking, Skepta and P Diddy!!!??? No there is no grime artist called P Diddy we are talking about the one and only P Diddy formally known as Puff Daddy. P Diddy wanted to work with a UK Grime artist to create a Grime remix of ‘Hello Good Morning’ , instead of doing his own research he dived straight in and asked on twitter who the UK recommend as the best candidate for the remix, P Diddy quotes “3 mintues later I had at least 10,000 hits and 90% of them said Skepta” so 9000 Skepta fans said Diddy, Skeptas the one for this one, Skepta seems overly happy.

Here’s how the convo went:

@iamdiddy: “Hey london I want to do a grime re mix of hello goonmornin! Who should do it?”

Many people tweeted him back saying that Boy Better Know member Skepta should be chosen for this project.

@iamdiddy: @Skepta ”the people said we should talk. Dm me a contact! Let’s gooooooo!!!”

Diddy then went on to say how much he liked grime.

@iamdiddy: “4 the record I’ve always been a fan of grime I remember the 1st time I heard it! Blew my mind. This is the 1st song I had that it could work.”

I think Diddy and Skepta spoke on the phone or something.

@iamdiddy: @Skepta ”good talkin to you. Let’s see if we can catch a vibe. And if its meant to be then we let the people hear it. Thank u 4 hittin back.”

@Skepta: @iamdiddy ”100% G. Love”

Diddy contacted Skepta and sent him all the parts to the track, Skepta then stripped it of its stars and stripes then wrapped it with a union jack and as Diddy said “Produced the hell out of the track!” Diddy is now looking to sign a UK artist and create more grimes tracks and introduce the USA to our urban culture Diddy quotes “Skepta you are a bad boy!” does this mean Skepta is finally going to be signed to a major label? Does this mean Skepta really is the king of grime?
