1stBorn celebrates the birth of his first born solo project

With passion for music running through his veins like oxygen, Reuben ‘1stBorn’ Wilford first captivated the underground music scene with his garage beats seven years, ago at the age 13. That was when the young producer was making club and radio bangers of such a level, that promoters sought after him to DJ across the country.

Now a production veteran, at the age of only 20, after day upon day of dedication and hard graft, 1stBorn is signed to LCM Records and is coming as an artist with his debut solo project.

It all started with the drum lessons young Reuben was taking at the age of 5, from simple drums to bassline house, garage, hip hop, R&B, pop, funky house and dubstep, there is now hardly a sound that 1stborn’s mind did not employ in a unique blending effort – and this is what it took to find his own voice, unmistakably 1stborn, once he settled in his ability.

“After DJ’ing for a while, I decided to start taking my production skills to a different level,” 1stBorn says, “and shortly after, I was asked to produce an official remix for UK rap star ‘Chip’ (Chipmunk) entitled ‘Beast’ which featured on the single. This was a good step for me in the underground scene, as my fan base started to increase and show interest in what I was creating. From then on, I decided to start making all genres and really got to grips with R&B and Hip Hop which were my favourite genres of music.”
