Scorcher & Fekky's official video release
You may have seen him in the film Offender, but this man is not offending me with his latest video. Scorcher drops the official video for his collaboration with UK Rap's "hot boy" Fekky... Taken from Scorcher's latest mixtape offering (Simply The Best 3) One Time showcases two of the finest talents the UK currently has to offer.
Having been one of the most instrumental MCs during the upsurge of the Grime Scene, Scorcher has been through the motions that all artists experience. He has grasped the power of his music ability and thus has perfected his craft with precision.
Grime was what Scorcher was doing at such a tender age, and since bursting on to the UK scene with such style of music he has grown with his sound in the public eye. He has become such an artistic individual and this shows through his recent musical offerings from previous mixtape audiowave (receiving over 40,000 downloads) and his last single featuring Talay Riley "It's All Love". He has proven himself as much more than a Grime MC, but moreover a rapper and overall a full packaged artist ready to be adorned further by the masses.
Simply The Best 3, the 3rd instalment to the mixtape trilogy explores his musical evolution whilst demonstrating his harmonious versatility. Simply The Best 3 boasts a host of some of the finest UK talent including chart topper and fellow The Movement team member Wretch 32, long-time friends Terminator and Loick Essien along with hot newcomer Fekky to mention a few.
The 12 track offering has been highly anticipated by fans, DJS, media and fellow artists, sparking an online frenzy when the Christmas day release date was announced. With a weighty video schedule set to accompany the release Simply The Best seems to be a testament to both Scorcher as an lyricist, artist and all-round creative being!
The mixtape features Wretch 32, Sincere, Krept & Konan, Terminator Fekky, Ghetts, Mercston, Loick Essien & Haynzy. The Mobo Awards said: "This could easily have been released as an album such is its quality." Mobo Awards
In 2012 Scorcher released "It's All Love" featuring the smooth vocals from R'n'B star Talay Riley sitting tightly upon the bass-pumping beat produced by S.X. The remix featured Kano, Bashy & Wretch32 and has since been championed as one of the best all-star remixes of 2012. The track accumulated a wide range of results across all outlets including playlists on BBC 1xtra, Choice FM, Bang Radio, The Box TV, Kiss TV, Flava TV, Channel AKA and steady support from platforms/publications such as Channel 4's freshly squeezed, SBTV, NME, StupidDope, Soul Culture,RWD Mag and many many more.
Scorcher then went on to promote his first feature film "Offender" whilst working on new material for his dedicated fans! A forward thinking individual and business man in his own right; Scorcher is progressing healthily and is certain to set whatever he touches alight. "You're not supposed to be living the same way year after year. In life you're supposed to progress..."
