Shaggy has a 'Shaggy-off' to launch new single 'I need your love'

shaggyNeedlove100x100Mr Bombastic, the Grammy-Award winning singer-songwriter 'Shaggy' continues to bring his unique blend of pop fusion reggae and dancehall to a world-wide audience with his latest single "I Need Your Love" featuring Mohombi, Fayadee and Costi. The already infectious, feel-good song is on track to become one of the summer 2015's songs of the year.

Mohombi, is a Swedish-Congolese R&B singer-songwriter and dancer. He grew up in Kista near Stockholm. From 2004 to 2008 Mohombi was part of the Swedish hip hop group Avalon with his brother Djo Moupondo. Mohombi released his debut solo single "Bumpy Ride" in August 2010. The single became a top-ten hit in many European countries, and was followed by his debut studio album, MoveMeant in February 2011.

Originally recorded as "Habibi (I Need Your Love)" was co-written by Faydee with Romanian music producer Costi Ioniță.  The retitled English version "I Need Your Love" by Shaggy featuring Mohombi, Faydee and Costi also has separate language releases of the song including Russian with Uzbek singer Shahzoda and Dr. Costi as "Habibi (Улыбнись и все Ок)" and in Bulgarian with singer Galena as "Habibi".

Since its US release, "I Need Your Love" has tracked close to 60,000 unit sales and over 20,000 digital spins.
The music video for "I Need Your Love," shot on location in Spain, has racked in well over 45,000,000 views on YouTube.

Most recently, Shaggy appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to compete with announcer Steve Higgins in a head to head "Shaggy Off" rap battle. Higgins, known for his Shaggy impression, competed with Shaggy himself to see who, once and for all, was the best Shaggy.

Shaggy joined the iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party on May 30th at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas where he performed alongside the likes of Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas, Chris Brown, and Kelly Clarkson.

Shaggy is Jamaican-born American reggae fusion singer best known for his hit singles "Boombastic", "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel". Starting his career in 1993, Shaggy has since released numerous albums including the Grammy winning, multi-platinum selling Boombastic in 1995 and the Diamond selling Hot Shot in 2000. An international sensation, Shaggy has sold well over 30 million records worldwide and continues to tour the world.

He most recently received his sixth Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Reggae Album.
