Jam TV - The new Caribbean TV channel in the UK

JamTV100x100Jam TV is a new dedicated Caribbean National UK TV channel available on Freesat and Sky TV launched by London based organisation 'Caribbean Media House'.

The channel is available of a weekend starting at 5pm till midnight each weekend from May 3rd on SKY 192 and Freesat 402.

JamTV will feature a Caribbean newsround, children's storytelling and school quiz programmes, dance and music competitions, cooking, religious and comedy shows, as well as sports documentaries and travel guides, showcasing the beauty of the Caribbean as well as the spirit of its people.

Ricardo Allen, MD at Caribbean Media House, says, "Currently, there is NO authentic programming direct from the Caribbean available to UK and European viewers, and that is a situation JamTV is here to correct. Black culture here in the UK tends to focus on the harder edged urban youth market, that can be off putting and overlook the needs of other sections of the community.

Partner Lillian Allen says: "We want to build a channel that caters to the whole family, with programmes that everyone here can relate to, same as they do back home in the Caribbean, where you don't have to spend time worrying what the kids are watching on their computers and tablets, because they're right there with you watching a whole family favourite on the TV!"

Their aim is to quickly develop commercial interest in the channel, by providing a unique and distinctive opportunity for local and international companies to advertise products and services to a niche audience frequently overlooked by mainstream television.

Businesses wanting to associate their brands with proven family shows direct from the Caribbean can now do so each weekend on SKY 192 and Freesat 402, starting at 5pm until 12 midnight.

JamTV . . . your weekend slice of sunshine!
